With the MJHL regular season coming to an end the league handed out most of it's hardware at the Terrier game on Friday night. Portage won 5 of the 6 league awards with Brad Bowles taking home the biggest honour of the year, the Steve "Boomer" Hawrysh Memorial Trophy for league MVP. Bowles leads the league in scoring by a wide margin, and was instrumental in clinching first place for the Portage Terriers. He also was named to the first All Star team. Bowles gives a lot of recognition to his teammates.

"That's what happens I guess when you play with a lot of good players all season, you owe a lot of credit to them, but it's nice to get it."

Nick Henry won rookie of the year, he currently leads all rookies in scoring with 58 points. He was also named to the All Rookie Team.

Brett Orr was the defenseman of the year and leads all defensemen with 42 points. He was also named to the first All Star Team.

Nathan Park has the best goals against average, and most shutouts with 7 and he picked up the goalie of the year honour. He was also named to the first All Star Team.

Head coach and GM Blake Spiller lead his team to an impressive record, and a first place finish, after coming into the season with only 5 returning players. He was named the coach of the year.

The only award not won by a Terrier was the hockey ability and sportsmanship award.
