The Portage Terriers look to make it 5 wins in a row tonight when they head to Selkirk for a home and home MJHL series with the Steelers.

These teams have met 3 times already this season with Portage winning 7-3, and 4-3 twice. Brandon Stanley has 4 goals and 5 points in 3 games against Selkirk this season, and has 4 points in his last two games. Rejoining the Terrier lineup will be Michael Knaub and Turner Santin, as they have both served their 3 and 2 game suspensions. Portage will still be without defensemen Dean Stewart and Brett Orr who are representing team Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge. The backend will be extra thin with Brock Weston also out of the lineup due to injury.

Terrier head coach and GM Blake Spiller says "They are playing real well right now, and will definitely be a challenge for our backend, whoever we get in on Friday and Saturday." He adds their speed can be a problem.  "We are going to have to try to take the space away and hopefully stay disciplined."

The Steelers will look to Dallas Starodub who has a point per game against Portage this season, and is second in team scoring with 30 points. Selkirk had a rough November going 3-7-2, but have now won 3 straight coming into tonights game. Their powerplay is just 2 percent behind Portage, and is 7th in the league. They have struggled on the penalty kill; stopping the opposition just over 75% of the time, 12% behind first place Portage.

The Friday night game will be broadcast on CFRY and Portageonline starting with the pregame show at 7:20pm. The Terriers will then host Selkirk Saturday night at 7:30 at the PCU Centre.
