In Manitoba Junior Hockey League action, the Portage Terriers host the Swan Valley Stampeders tonight at the PCU Centre.

The Terriers most recent victory came Sunday night when they stormed past the Winkler Flyers 7-3 in Portage. The Terriers are 10-0-1 in 2016 and defenseman Brett Orr says a good mind-set is key to victory any night.

"Yeah, it's pretty much the same thing we always want to do. We know now we're a pretty skilled team, and that by playing our game we can be really successful, as we've seen this year. So pretty much we just focus on what we need to do to win, and adapt to what they're going to do too."

The Terriers have won 3 of 4 meetings with the Stampeders, most recently falling 4-3 in Swan Valley back in November. Josh Bykowski will get the start between the pipe for the dogs, having only played 6 games with the club. Tonight he'll get his first look at the Stampeders, which he's looking forward to.

Josh Bykowski picks up the shutout win over OCN in his latest start

"I got traded here December 2nd I believe, and haven't seen Swan Valley yet. So I'm going into it blind -- and I'm okay with that -- because if I have nothing on my mind that's when I play my best."

Tonight's game starts at 7:30 at the PCU Centre. It will be broadcast on CFRY and Portage Online dot com with the pre-game show starting at 7:20. There's only 1 other game in the MJHL tonight, it's Virden in Neepawa at 7:30 as well.
