The Portage Terriers shut out the Wayway Wolverines 9-0 tonight in MJHL hockey at the PCU Centre.

The Terriers completely dominated the Wolverines through the first, scoring 2 goals, and only allowing Wayway 2 shots in the frame. Terriers' Michael Knaub and Braydon Macdonald with the Terriers' goals.

Things evened up a little bit more in the second, as neither team could find the back of the net. Terriers' netminder Nathan Park was a little busier in the second, as he made 8 stops in the period.

The Terriers' offensive barrage continued to create opportunities in the 3rd. They converted 5 goals in the first half of the period, sealing the win. Terriers' Jeremy Leipsic netted his first with the Dogs, while Adam Wowryk picked up a hat trick in the period.

"It felt good, obviously. Brakel and I had a 2-on-1 there and he waited until the guy came over to him and he made a nice pass. I just tried to make the most of it and I was able to so it felt good."

The Terriers and Wolverines are back at it Wednesday night. Terriers' defenseman Brett Orr expects an intense game.

"I think they're going to be coming a lot harder. It was 2 nothing after 2 periods, so they were doing a good job, and we weren't really playing our game. I think they're going to be coming a little harder at us."
