Kerri Einarson, Selena Kaatz, Liz Fyfe and Kristin MacCuish are on a roll - again.

The East St. Paul foursome are a Saturday morning win away from qualifying for the 1-1 page playoff game for the third straight year.

Einarson & company were on fire Friday at the Sun Gro Centre.

They handed Cathy Overton-Clapham her first loss of the 2016 Provincial Scotties Tournament of Hearts on the morning draw and then made short work of Barb Spencer in the afternoon.

Einarson, Kaatz, Fyfe and MacCuish were 7-0 in the round robin two years ago in Virden.

That was their first season together.

They duplicated that feat last year in Winkler.

Their first ever round robin loss took place here in Beausejour when Cheryl Reed of the Brandon Curling Club drew to the button with her final rock of the extra end and beat Einarson 11-10 back on Wednesday afternoon.

It's been all W's after that.

“We've worked really hard all year,” said Kaatz who celebrated a birthday on Friday as she turned 24-years-old. “We had a tough first game but we knew that team can win this thing with one loss. We weren't really fazed after that – we got our loss out of our system.”

“The past couple of years we haven't lost in the round robin so we needed to change something up so we did that the first day. We're on a roll right now and we're throwing really well so hopefully we carry that on into tomorrow.”

Beausejour is Kaatz's hometown and there's a ton of support for the East St. Paul team.

It was quite loud in the Sun Gro Centre Friday afternoon especially after Einarson hit-and-stuck for seven in the fifth end against Spencer.

“I've never experienced anything like this,” said Kaatz. “Everyone is behind us the whole time. It's just so positive. We'll walk down the hallway and everyone is saying, 'Good luck, good luck.' Even if I don't even know them. It's been a great feeling.”
