The Santa Clara Baseball League playoffs are back tonight, with 3 games.

The Portage Padres are in Carberry for game 2 of their best-of-3 with the Royals. The Padres haven't played since they won game 1 over a week ago, but first baseman Tyler Butler says the had a practice Monday night to shake off some of the rust.

"Most of the guys were out for it. It's always a challenge against these guys (Royals), and we'll hopefully finish off the series in Carberry."

The Padres were down 1-0 going into the 5th inning in game 1, but stormed back with several runs to take the lead. Butler wants them to be more consistent at the plate right from the start tonight.

"Our team is such a good hitting team that everybody just kind of kept it cool, and strung a bunch of hits together in the same inning, and happened to start scoring a bunch of runs. So that was definitely good, and our pitching in that game was very good as well."

The Padres and Royals go at 7 p.m. in Carberry.

Minnedosa and Plumas both could advance with a win tonight. The Mavs and A's go in Austin, and Plumas is in Dauphin. Both games are at 7 p.m.
