It was another busy night of West Winnipeg Athletic Conference volleyball at PCI last night, and it continues today.

The PCI varsity Saints and Trojans split the night against Fort Richmond. The Saints got a little payback last night, sweeping the Centurions in 3 straight sets. FRC knocked the Saints out of the playoffs last year in the semi final. Saints' hitter Paige Garrioch says they were expecting more of a fight from their rivals.

"It's pretty sweet actually. I thought it was going to be a really close game, but we just came out with the W."

Saints' Head Coach Derek Casper talks about his teams excitement during the game, and after the win.

"It's good because they're playing a sport they love, so they should be always trying to have fun no matter what the situation is. We served very tough today, way better than what we did on Monday."

The varsity Trojans fell 3 sets to 1 against FRC. Trojans' Grade 12 player Kieran Derksen says it wasn't their best performance.

"Our passing was pretty bad and pretty off this game. The sets weren't as tight as they should've been, but that was the passing."

Fort Richmond is back in Portage tonight to take on PCI, but this time it's the junior varsity squads. The Trojans are first at 5 p.m. and the Saints go at 6:30 p.m.

The varsity teams are back at it Monday in Stonewall.
