PCI Saints' Grade 11 forward Bailey Grantham is the Winnipeg Women's High School Hockey League's Player of the Week in the CTV Division.

Grantham's 5 points in the Saints' quarter final series led her club to victory. Saints' Head Coach Jo-Anne Clark-Gillespie says Grantham's always led the way offensively, and has really evolved as a player.

"She's actually become more of a complete player when it comes to her defensive responsibilities. She's an excellent skater so she's an excellent backchecker. She's one of the first people to get back and help defensively, so I've seen her evolve from being a very offensive minded player, to somebody who's a very good two way player. So she's very important to us."

Grantham finished the WWHSHL season with 30 points. She's in 4th for playoff scoring with 4 goals and 5 assists.

The Saints best-of-3 semi final series against College Jeanne Sauve starts today in Winnipeg. The Saints came back from being down 1-0 in their quarter final series against Vincent Massey to win 2-1. Saints' Head Coach Jo-Anne Clark-Gillespie says it was a real boost for her club.

"After game 1 our performance was so poor, nobody expected us to win at all. So I'm thinking with this series, we're are pretty evenly matched with them. So now that we've had a little success in these first two rounds, and this big upset in the second round, we have a lot of confidence."

That game goes at 4 p.m.
