The PCI Saints lost 5-3 to the St. Mary's Flames in Winnipeg High School Hockey League action at the MTS Centre last night.

The Saints managed to keep up with the speedy Flames -- as the score was only 2-1 for the Flames heading into the final frame -- Bailey Grantham had the Saints' lone goal. The high pace of the game seemed to prove too much for the Saints, as Saint Mary's netted 3 in the 3rd, giving them a 5-1 lead. A late burst from the Saints, and 2 quick goals from Katie McCartney got the Saints within 2, but they couldn't compete with the clock as time expired.

The Saints are back at it Friday when they visit Garden City.
