The PCI Saints Soccer Club picked up their first win of the year on the pitch last night at Rotary Republic Park.

PCI striker Cassidy George led the way with 3 goals in their 7-1 victory over Vincent Massey Brandon in exhibition play. George likes the way the team's been developing so far this season.

"I think we were all passing well, and worked as a team. The team's gotten pretty good, and we've gotten a lot better since the season has started and since the first tryout. I think we can do good this year."

Saints' Emily Upgang, Cassie Hannah, Amy Laing and TeeTee Appah each added to the victory. Appah says once they found their groove, the goals started to flow.

"Well it started off a little bit slow, we were just getting used to it I guess. But I think when we scored, it got our rhythm going and it went really well."

The Saints are in a tournament this weekend in Kenora.
