The PCI Saints fell 5-1 to Vince Massey today in Game 1 of their Winnipeg Women's High School Hockey League's Quarter Final.

The Saints seemed to struggle with penalties throughout the game, giving up 3 powerplay goals in the loss. Vincent Massey held a 3-0 lead to start the final period, but Saints' Paige Shwaluk was able to net one early, cutting the lead to 2. Vincent Massey would add 2 more before time expired.

Saints' Head Coach Jo-Anne Clark-Gillespie says it wasn't their best performance.

"It wasn't our best effort, and it really showed. They took it to us early and scored a couple of powerplay goals, we found ourselves in penalty trouble, and didn't seem ready to start playing. We found ourselves down 3-0 going into the 3rd period, scored early to make it 3-1, but they scored another powerplay goal and put the game away. The totally had a better effort than we did."
