The PCI Saints got it done yesterday in Zone 4 High School Fastpitch.

The Saints walloped the Garden Valley Zodiacs 13-1 at Rotary Republic Park. It took a few innings for PCI to get going offensively, but they did open the scoring with an 11 run 3rd inning. Saints' outfielder Sam Turner had a great day at the plate, scoring twice off 3 plate appearances. She says they had to switch things up a bit offensively to fit their opponents.

"We adjusted and laid down some bunts, but we have troubles with slower pitchers. Just because we have high quality players, and we don't see a lot of these types of pitchers. So when we get slow pitchers we take a little bit of time to adjust, but we'll get it."

The Saints had 8 players register great QAB%, including Morgan Miller who was at 100. She gives a recap of their performance.

"We had a couple of good defensive plays, and we had to wait really hard on the plate. (Kassidy Cunningham) did really good at pitching too, so it was good."

Kassidy Cunningham threw all 5 innings for the Saints. She allowed 3 hits, one of which was a home run in the 5th. The Saints will see the Zodiacs again this weekend as they've entered Garden Valley's tournament.
