There's a Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League game in Portage tonight.

The Central Plains Capitals (12-7-1) host Parkland (7-12) tonight at the BDO Centre. The Caps are 2-0 against Parkland this season, winning the first 6-1 and the second 3-2. Defenseman Gabe Odowichuck is tied for the lead in points on the back-end with 10, fellow blueliners Tyler Van Deynze and Jared Hulme also have 10 points this season. He says they'll need to be aware of who's on the ice tonight and keep pucks to the outside.

"We just have to look out for their top players, and minimize those shots against."

Odowichuck says offensively they need to keep doing what they're doing.

"Getting pucks on net and getting goals off rebounds, those dirty goals."

Fellow defender Brandon Kochen expects an aggressive forecheck from Parkland and says quick break-outs are key.

"They like to use the body and pressure us a lot, so we just have to get it out quick."

The Caps and Rangers go at 8 p.m. at the BDO Centre.
