The Prairie Fire Black U-15 volleyball team's headed to Regina this weekend for the Division 1 U-15 West Volleyball Canada Championships.

The team finished 4th place at Provincials a couple of weeks ago, and are excited to face to top competitors in the west. Prairie Fire's Madisson Donald says there was a scary moment when they didn't think they'd even be going.

"We had it so we couldn't go, but we ended up getting an extra player from a 14U team. So we're really happy with her that she can come with us."

Amy Wiebe's confident in her teammates abilities, and really wants to bring home the gold.

"We just work really well together. We call the ball, we talk to each other -- and we make sure someone is getting it -- and we just don't get down on each other.

The biggest thing that radiates from the Prairie Fire U15 Black is their sportsmanship and teamwork. Summer Duclos says without that, they'd be nowhere.

"We're going to have to communicate a lot, try our best and not get down on ourselves. If you don't have that, than you can't do anything."

The Prairie Fire will have a chance to practice today, after they register for the comptition. Their first match of the first round robin is tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. against Weyburn Saskatchewan.
