Tiffany McLean of the Portage Curling Club has finally hit the win column at the 2017 Provincial Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Winnipeg. McLean downed Beth Peterson 7-5 Friday night and was asked how it felt to pick up win number one.

"It's nice to get on the board. It was a rough week. I was struggling especially. There were a few games when my front end was playing really well, and I just wasn't pulling through for them. It's nice when we can all pull together and make something out of it."

McLean is 1 and 5 and will play her final round robin game this morning at 8:30 a.m. against Meghan Armit. Defending champion Kerri Einarson will clinch first place in the Red Group with a win this morning over Darcy Robertson. Jennifer Jones has clinched first place in the Black Group.
