The second round of the Portage Cup kicks off this morning at Stride Place in Portage la Prairie.

This weekend's competition features Atom and Peewee players from around the province with over 20 teams taking part. The tournament officially kicked off last night with two games, and the Central Plains Lakers and Central Plains Kings get things going this morning. The Lakers face River East at 8 a.m. on Stride Place Arena, the Kings face Interlake at 8:15 on Portage Mutual Arena.

Like last week there will be a progressive 50/50, as well as some silent auction items available. The Championship games are Sunday afternoon.
