A couple of Portage Pitbulls Football teams had pretty successful seasons, but all of them had a lot of fun. That's from Portage Pitbulls President Kim Miller who outlines a couple of highlights from 2015.

"A big highlight would have been the PeeWee team going to the championship game, and that was Halloween weekend. Unfortunately they didn't win, but it's a big success just to make it to the finals, there's some heavy competition to get there. Or even the Bantam Pitbulls making it to the semi finals."

Miller says they haven't had much growth in roster numbers over the past few years, but it's never been an issue.

"The numbers seem to stay around the same, we definitely have smaller rosters than most Winnipeg Teams. But out commitment to the team, and themselves playing the game can get us to a game like the championship."

The Pitbulls don't host any tournaments over the season -- but they do host all of their home games at Rotary Republic Park -- which Miller says are always amazing days. The Portage Pitbulls Football Club will be holding their registration in May, and their camps will follow shortly after.
