The varsity Saints and Trojans both lost tight games in Winnipeg last night.

The PCI varsity Trojans fell 63-53 to Gordon Bell in West Winnipeg Athletic Conference Tier 2 Bbasketball.

The Trojans were a little slow to come out of the gate, and it proved to be the difference. Head Coach Janey McDonald says they found their legs in the second half -- which helped closed the gap -- but wasn't enough to propel them to victory.

The PCI varsity Saints also lost to Gordon Bell 67-55. They played a hard game, but a strong run from Gordon Bell sealed the win late in the game. The Saints and Trojans host Shaftesbury on Monday in their next regular season match-up.

The PCI junior varsity basketball teams are in action tonight.
