Portage Terriers' defenseman Brett Orr won't be rejoining the team next season, as he'll be heading South for university.

The Elkhorn native has committed to Bentley University in Waltham, Mass. which includes a full scholarship to play for the Falcons. Orr would've like to play his final year with the Terriers, but says it wasn't something he could pass up.

Brett Orr hails from Elkorn, Manitoba. He's looking forward to playing with the Falcons next season

"It was kind of the decision where they said next year -- and it's a full scholarship -- it's pretty tough to turn it down, especially to a great school for business and classes, but also an up-and-coming hockey program."

Former Terrier Tanner Jago also committed to Bently, which also contributed to Orr's choice.

"Yeah you know, it was one that happened pretty fast after the World Junior A Challenge. I got a little exposure out there, and the school was obviously Bentley -- where are captain Tanner Jago went last year -- I think he had a big part to do in it too."

Orr's not quite sure what he's going to take at Bentley but says the school has amazing choices.
