The Central Plains Capitals' midget clubs are off until the new year.

The Female Midget Caps managed to pick up a point in the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League this weekend. They fell 4-2 to Eastman on Saturday and 3-2 in a shootout yesterday. The Caps have only managed nine points off three wins this season, and will have a busy second half in 2017.

The male midget Caps went 1-1 through Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League action this weekend. They lost to the Winnipeg Wild Saturday evening at the BDO Centre, but bounced back for a 4-3 win over Interlake yesterday to stay one point back of Brandon in fourth place. Two points separate the top four teams, and the Caps are right there battling for the top spot.

The female Midget Caps' next game is January 6th when they host Norman, the boys are off until January 7th.
