The Portage Islanders fell 5-2 to Warren last night in South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League action at the PCU Centre.

The loss extends their losing streak to four games, but they've still earned a couple of points with two losses in extra time.

"We're obviously in a little bit of a funk right now but it's no reason to worry," says forward Chris DeLong. "I think it's just one of those momentum things where you fight is harder and harder, but it's like quicksand so you just have to work our way out of it and we'll be fine."

Darryl Flett and Tyler Harland each picked up goals in the loss. First place Notre Dame is in town Sunday. The Islanders have handed the Hawks their only two losses this season and DeLong's looking forward to another shot at them.

"It's going to be a real fun one. They've done awesome this year and it'll be a good test for us, and hopefully, a chance for us to turn this around."

The Islanders are back in action tomorrow when they host first place Notre Dame at 3 p.m.
