The PCI Saints Fastpitch team had a very exciting 2015 season.

The Saints had a very strong team for the 2014-15 season, going undefeated through the season and breezing by most opponents in the league. Saints' Head Coach Cam Asham says it started with winning the Zone title, then moving on to capture the Manitoba Provincial Championship.

"Yeah, it was a special season for sure, by a special team of girls. We had a lot of success and it was really memorable."

The Saints had a lot of strong players on the team including MVP pitcher Emily Smith. Asham says they won't look that different, which is great.

"We lost 3 to graduation, so we have a number that are returning and a number that are coming in new to the high school. So we're looking forward to our 2016 team for sure."

The Saints will also have pitcher Sarah Thomson leading the way on the mound. Asham adds it's always hard to judge talent coming into the program from a younger grade, but Asham's excited for the new girls coming up.

"It's hard to say. We have a couple of younger girls that should be able to contribute at a decent level. So we're definitely looking forward to that."

The PCI Saints Fastpitch program will begin in the Spring of 2016.
