The Central Plains Capitals went 0-2 this weekend in Manitoba AAA Midget hockey.

The Caps were in Winnipeg for a date with the Thrashers Friday night, that went sour shortly into the first period. A slow start cost them as the Thrashers jumped out to a 3-0 lead halfway through the first that the Caps just couldn't overcome. The final score was 5-2 in favour of Winnipeg.

Central Plains was in Souris to face Southwest today, and again they fell on the road. The Caps and Cougars were all tied at 3 heading into the final frame, but a Cougars' powerplay goal would be the difference maker halfway throught the period.

The Caps next game is Friday when they host the Thrashers.
