It was a great night on the court for PCI last night.

The varsity Saints won a nail-biter in West Winnipeg Athletic Conference Tier 2 basketball at PCI School.

They persevered to overcome Churchill 57-55, fighting until the final buzzer to do it. The Saints were leading 30-26 at the half, but were down by two with just over a minute to go in the game. Saints' player Kassidy Cunningham had 11 points in the victory, she talks about their struggle to come back near the end of the fourth.

"We just had to try our hardest to get the ball away from the other team, and we didn't really have time to play around -- or miss any shots -- so we had to get the perfect shot to get ahead."

The PCI Trojans also defeated Churchill last night.

They won 56-50, in a very defensive battle. Trojans' Grade 11 player Bryce Rose talks about their overall performance.

"Well we came out a little slow, but then we kind of picked it up in the second half and we were able to stay with it. We played really good defense this game, and even though we only had 56 points, our defense stayed strong."
