The PCI Trojans' defense couldn't hold off a late push from Northlands Parkway, and they fell 3-2 in a shootout last night at the PCU Centre in Zone 4 Hockey.

It was their second loss in as many nights but Head Coach Chris DeLong says it was a much better performance last night.

"We didn't compete all that well Wednesday and came out on the short end of a 1-goal game but last night, the compete level was way up. I know it hurts right now to lose in a shootout, but that was a good team with the top goaltender too. So we were pleased with what we saw."

DeLong says they don't work at their shootout skills specifically at practice, but they do get some breakaway time.

"We do showdown at the end of every practice and everyone has little moves, but it's a little different when there's a little pressure on you."

PCI finishes off their week with a 3rd game tonight in Morden. "We played Morden very well," says DeLong. "We had a 1 goal loss the last time we played and I think we match up pretty well with them. I'm looking forward to it if we come with the same attitude."

Tonight's game starts at 8.
