The MacGregor Wild suffered a 9-2 loss to Gladstone last night in Tiger Hills Hockey.

Wild Defenseman Tanner Nicoll says they definitely didn't bring their 'A' game, and gives credit to their opponents.

"We had little spurts where we looked alright, but I'll give it to Gladstone they played a pretty good game. They're a fast team that moves the puck well, and that definitely didn't help. I feel we could've played a lot better that's for sure."

Nicoll says it's taking them a little bit of time to find their groove, but he's confident they'll find their stride soon.

"Guys didn't quit. We had some chances in the third period where we kept trying, but we've got a little bit of work. We're still a fairly new team, and guys haven't been playing together for too long, so I think things will turn around here fairly quickly."

The Wild and Lakers are both back in action Friday night. In the only other THHL game of the night, Hartney fell 4-3 to Boissevain in overtime.
