The Portage Islanders (8-0) continue their stand as the top team in the South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League tonight.

They're in Morden (3-5) to face the Redskins. Morden's bench was a few players short in their first meeting, and they'll be looking to hand Portage their first loss of the season.

"The last time we met Morden had a depleted roster, which isn't typical when you're playing them," says Islanders' forward Anders Strome. "They're usually a fast skating team and they play hard in their own rink. I believe they're coming off a loss to Winkler so they'll come out hard, and we'll need to be ready to go as well."

Strome's second in team scoring (7G, 11A) and says their new additions have really filled out their lineup. "We have pretty much four lines for every game," says Strome. "We can hurt teams in a lot of different ways too, which is nice to have at this level of hockey."

Tonight's game starts at 8 in Morden.
