The Portage Islanders face Warren for the final time tonight in the South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League.

That is unless the two teams meet in round one of the playoffs which is still a possibility

The Islanders have won 3 of 4 meetings with the last place Mercs so far this season, losing their first meeting in November 10-6.

Portage will play its regular season finale Saturday against the Maroons in Altona.

The Islanders, who are in fifth place with 20 points, can still finish in second place.

Portage has to win tonight in Warren and then beat Altona in regulation to move all the way up from fifth place to second.

The Maroons, who lost 6-5 in overtime to the first place Carman Beavers on Thursday, have 24 points.

Tonight's Islanders-Mercs game goes at 8 p.m. in Warren.
