Portage Terriers' rookie forward Nick Henry is the Recycle Everywhere MJHL Player of the Week.

Henry has 6 points in his last 3 games, and leads the league in rookie scoring. Henry gives all the credit to his line-mates.

"I've been playing with two pretty good players in the Bowles' brothers, really without those guys I think my success -- I don't think -- would be as good as it is. But playing with those two guys every day is pretty unbelievable."

Henry's a Portage la Prairie native and says it's amazing playing for the team he grew up rooting for.

"Yeah it's pretty surreal. Growing up and watching the Terriers, watching them win the RBC last year and then being able to jump in here and having a pretty successful season. So it's actually extremely exciting to do in front of my family and friends, and everything. It's pretty sweet."

The Terriers still have a lot of hockey between them and the end of the season, and Henry knows it's going to take everyone to continue winning.

"I think just playing a good team game. Playing in our own zone with the Bowles', then getting in the offensive zone and cycling down low and having success that way. When we're playing good down low, that's when we're playing at our best and generating scoring opportunities."

Henry has 36 points this season, and is the only rookie in the top 20 point scorers in the MJHL.
