We're into the final month of action at the Portage Curling Club. Club Manager Sheri Blaylock says her first year in the position went by very fast, and she had a lot of fun.

"Very busy, the season has been, and exciting. For me, it's been a steep learning curve, but I like that. A lot of changes happening, and I feel I did the best that I could, and I had a great time doing it. I love being the manager of the curling club, and I can say the Board has asked me back for next year, and I'm pretty excited about that."

Blaylock says they've got a few spiels coming up in the next few weeks, including one this morning.

"The Burnside Spiel, that starts at 9:30 (today) and 1:30 p.m. for 3 days -- those are the senior curlers -- but anyone can go if they don't have to work. Family Fun Spiel is on Easter Monday, so we're trying to get all the kids and parents and every body out -- grandparents. Then the Last Chance Bonspiel, of course is infamous in Portage, and that starts on April Fool's Day, Coincidentally?", she laughs.

The Burside Spiel wraps up Thursday evening. If you're interested in signing up for any of the upcoming spiels contact Sheri at the Portage Curling Club.
