The Western Hockey League announced Regina Pats forward and former Portage Terrier, Nick Henry as the WHL Player of the Week for the week ending February 26, 2017.

Henry registered 10 points in four games to help the Pats go 3-0-1 this past week. The17-year-old ranks first among all WHL rookies in scoring with 74 points (31G-43A) in 61 games. Henry is currently ranked 15th in the WHL’s overall scoring race.

The 6-foot, 190-pound right winger won the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's Rookie of the Year award with the Terriers last season. He was selected by the Everett Silvertips in the third round (59th) of the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft and was traded to the Pats at the 2016 WHL Draft.

Henry is eligible for the 2017 NHL Draft and was ranked 25th among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting's midterm rankings.
