The Central Plains Capitals couldn't bounce back from Friday's 2-1 loss in their rematch against the Westman Wildcats in MFMHL action earlier today.

A scoreless first period was followed by an exciting second with both teams scoring in a matter of seconds from the other. Four minutes in, Westman found the back of the Caps' net, scoring the first goal of the game. However a mere 24 seconds later the Caps scored to tie things up 1-1.

A second Westman goal near the end of the period brought the Wildcats a 2-1 lead over the Capitals. The score was maintained into the final seconds of the game when, with only 10 seconds remaining, Westman scored on Central Plains' empty net making the final score 3-1.

The Caps have the next few days off but they'll be looking for a win Tuesday when they visit the Winnipeg Avros.
