It's a busy time for the Portage Curling Club.

Manager Sheri Blaylock says October's always packed with the Canad Inns' Classics and their league matches set for the end of the month. She says there's one thing people will notice as soon as they get to the rink.

"For our 136th season we have a new logo! So you'll be seeing that. It's white, blue, and red, and it's all over the place so we're pretty proud of that."

Blaylock says league registration's currently underway, and they'll likely accept registrations until Friday. She says if you're not comfortable enough to join a league, they have training classes that could help improve your game.

"If you've never curled before we have two Learn To Curl sessions coming up. So if you've never learned to curl (the program) is a 5-week session and it's really good value for your money, and you'll feel a lot more comfortable on the ice."

The Canad Inns Women's Classic is this weekend, and the Portage Curling Club's League Matches begin October 25th. If you're interested in joining a league, the Learn to Curl program, or you're interested checking out the Women's Classic head to portagecurlingclub.com
