The Central Plains FC fell 2-0 to Rovers FC in Manitoba Major Soccer League Division 2 action at Rotary Republic Park.

The Rovers got out to a 1-0 lead off a penalty kick early on in the first half, and a physical game ensued after that. Both teams seemed to throw a little extra shoulder into every 1-on-1, and Central Plains seemed to always come out on the wrong side of the call. CPFC's Braden Nicoll gives his thoughts on the loss.

"It was a tough game. We were definitely giving it our all out there, we were playing physical -- as were they. A couple bad bounces on our end and they're up 2-nothing. We just couldn't seem to get any of our shots on net, and that's the way it goes."

CPFC is back on the pitch July 15th against Winnipeg FC.
