The Ecole Arthur Meighen School black team beat La Verendrye School 25-20 last night to capture the Boys grade 7/8 City of Portage Basketball Championship.

It's the second year in a row that EAMS Boys won the championship.

The EAMS Girls won the city basketball Grade 7/8 Championship on Tuesday night. They also defeated LVS 31-20.
