In the Manitoba Major Soccer League, the Central Plains FC picked up their second win of the season at Rotary Republic Park.

They beat a shorthanded Valour FC club 5-2 in Division 3 action. Central Plains' Trent Boschman led the way with 2 goals, while Evan Wiebe, Braden Nicholl and Tyson Murray each netted 1. Central Plains' last win came June 30th against the King's Park Ranger, and Murray says wins come few-and-far-between this year.

"It feels good. (Wins) haven't come too easily this year, so it feels good to get another one."

Murray gives an outline of what was working on the field.

"Tight passing, we were running pretty well. Passing the ball, and our touch seemed pretty good."

CPFC is back at it August 7th in Portage.
