In Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League action the Central Plains Capitals battled hard for a 2-0 victory over Pembina Valley. Caps coach Daniel Moar says the boys worked hard on the ice for the win.

"We won 2-0 . Our guys actually played really hard, everybody was pretty good tonight. Our goaltender made saves when he had to and it's nice to see him get rewarded with a shutout. Our guys did the right things tonight. It could have been a lot more than two but we will take 2-0 any day of the week."

Moar notes if the boys keep up the hard work and focus they should have a good game tomorrow.

"We've got to do a lot of the same things. We were doing a good job getting puck in behind their defence and making them turn around, banging and crashing down in the corners. If we do that tomorrow it's probably going to end up with a similar result but we have to be focused and ready to go and expect a challenge. "

The Caps go head to head against Parkland tomorrow. Puck drop is set for 2:30 PM in Dauphin.
