The Central Plains Capitals suffered their 1st loss in 2016 as they fell 4-1 to the Westman Wildcats in Manitoba Female Midget AAA Hockey League action last night at the BDO Centre.

The Caps lone goal came at 4:52 in the 1st period off a shot from Emily Upgang.

The Caps were able to hold the 1-0 lead until the 3rd period when Westman scored 4 unanswered goals to steal the victory.

Capitals head coach Ferdi Nelissen recaps the game.

"We didn't do a good enough job getting pucks to the net. We need to shoot more pucks to the net and drive for the rebounds because you're not going to score if you don't get shots on goal. We have to do a better job on that. I thought we played a pretty good hockey game we just fell behind in the 3rd."
