The Central Plains Capitals face the Winnipeg Avros for the second time in less than a week in Manitoba Female Midget Hockey.

The Caps won their last meeting over the Avros 4-1, and followed that up with a victory Saturday over Eastman. Caps' forward Eryn Stewart from Stonewall has been an integral part of the victories, scoring 3 goals in 2 games. She talks about her recent string of success.

"Just been going to the net and getting shots on goal. My goal in the one game was just an empty net goal, but it still counts."

The Caps will be facing their former netminder Lauren Taraschuk, who won the MFMHL Championship with the Caps last year. Stewart says they'll have to exploit what they know about their former teammate.

"Just get more shots on their goalie. She (Taraschuk) was our goalie last year, so hopefully we know how she plays and hopefully we can get some more goals. She's pretty big but her rebound control isn't amazing, so getting those second rebounds is important."

The Caps and Avros face off at 7:15 p.m. at Keith Bodly Arena in Winnipeg.
