With hockey season quickly approaching, athletes from around the region are getting set for camps.

The Central Plains Capitals' conditioning camps started this week for both the Female Midget and Midget clubs. This is the first time a lot of players are stepping back onto the ice since last season, and it's a great time for coaches to get to know a few stand-out's before tryouts.

The Midget Men's Capitals have a new head coach in Brad Gnidziejko, after the previous coach was removed at the end of last season. Gnidziejko was the head coach of the Caps' City Midget club last season.

The Girls go from 6 to 9:30 while the boys start at 7:15.
