In Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League action the Central Plains Capitals crushed the Kenora Thistles 7-2. Central Plains assistant coach Daniel Moar was very impressed with his teams performance in the game.

"We won 7 to 2. Our guys played great from start to finish. We put a lot of shots on net, our power play was really clicking tonight. Just top to bottom everybody had a good night and the score was the result we were looking for."

Moar notes they will need to keep the positive momentum to get a similar result in their game on Sunday.

"We just have to come ready to play. Yellowhead is above of us in the standings and we have already had a close game with them this year. If we continue to play hard like we did tonight then hopefully we can come home with a win."

The Central Plains Capitals are set to go head to head with the Yellowhead Chiefs in Shoal Lake at 2pm on Sunday.
