The Central Plains Capitals won 3-0 over the Interlake Lightning in Winnipeg Bantam AAA Hockey at Portage Mutual Arena yesterday afternoon.

Logan Calder got things going for the Caps in the first period, with goaltender Cole Muys picking up the only assist on the play. The Caps continued to dominate the Lightning through the second period, when Calder netted his second of the game, Jaden Pashe and Garret Maly picked up the assists.

Interlake really struggled to get anything going offensively in this game, and both teams finished the game with over a combined 55 penalty minutes between them. Caps' Captain Joey Moffat added one more in the 3rd period to seal the win for the Caps.

Moffat talks about keeping their compete level up in a one sided match.

"You can't lower your game to their level, and can't get into the penalties. We had a couple of penalties there that we probably shouldn't have taken, and it almost cost us, but we played well."

Caps' goalie Cole Muys didn't have too busy of a night between the pipes, and talks about yesterday's match.

"I think we did well for the first period, but we sort of let up in the second and the third. You just got to keep calm, if you let one it, you have to not let it bother you."

The Bantam Capitals are back at it Wednesday when they host Eastman.
