In Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League action the Central Plains Capitals beat the Pembina Valley Hawks 3-2 in a shoot out tonight at the BDO Centre. Caps coach Daniel Moar recaps how his team performed against the Hawks.

"Our guys played really well. We put a lot of of pucks on net. Their goalie made some sick, nice saves and I mean we were a little snack bitten and probably could have scored around seven goals tonight. Our guys did play well but sometimes that's how games go. Tonight we were fortunate enough to win it in a shootout."

Moar expects a good chance of winning their next match up with Brandon if the team continues to play hard.

"I think our guys just have to do a similar job as they did today. They have to work hard and put a lot of pucks on net. Brandon is a tough team and they are trying to catch us in the standings. That will be a big game to try and win tomorrow. It will be a good game."

The Central Plains Capitals face the Brandon Wheat Kings tomorrow in Brandon. Puck drop is set for 1:30 PM.
