The Central Plains Capitals are in Shoal Lake this weekend for two games with the Yellowhead Chiefs.

The Caps have struggled to find the back of the net this season, and it's cost them in the standings. They currently sit at 3-5-2, 5 points back of 5th place Eastman. Nelissen says they need to continue making smart plays with the puck and the goals will come.

"You don't want to get shots at the expense of turning over the puck and not making a valuable scoring opportunity. But getting pucks to the net when you have a good net presence, and looking for those second and third chances, is what we have to keep doing."

The Chiefs are 9-2 this season and sit in 3rd, and a fresh off a 2-1 win Wednesday night over Westman. Nelissen knows their rivalry is strong and expects two very tough games.

"They come out and they play a high-tempo, hard-nosed brand of hockey. They're hard on the puck, they forecheck hard, backcheck hard, there won't be any surprises there. We know what we have to do, and it starts with winning individual battles. If we win the individual battles, we'll have a shot at two wins."

The Caps and Chiefs go today at 4, game two is tomorrow at 4:30.
