In Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League action tonight, the Central Plains Capitals fell 4-2 against the Yellowhead Chiefs. Capitals coach Daniel Moar says it was a tough loss for the boys.

"Our guys battled hard. It's starting to get to that time of year where every game is like playoff hockey. That's a team that you have to battle hard against and limit your mistakes and unfortunately we made one extra mistake today that cost a goal. It ended up that was the difference. Our guys played well but you can't make mistakes against teams like that and it cost us."

Moar says they will be working hard during the week to make sure their next game has a different result.

"Our guys just have to come ready to work this week. We've got a few things that we've got to work on after this weekend and we are going to continue to develop. Our guys are going to be ready to go and hopefully we can get back on track on Saturday."

The Capitals are back on the the ice Saturday, January 30th. Puck drop is 4 p.m. at the BDO Centre in Portage.
