The Canad Inns Women's Classic is this weekend at the Portage Curling Club.

Canad Inns' CEO Dan Lucier's excited for a large talent pool of amazing curlers in town for the event.

"There are teams from all over the world coming in for the Women's Classic. Teams are coming all the way from the US, Korea, China, Japan, Switzerland, Scotland, Sweden, and that's just to name a few."

Lucier says they pride themselves on having some of the best sheets on the planet.

"We've got a world class ice-maker by the name of Greg Ewasko, and Farrol Asham and their entire team who ensure world class ice. I hear nothing but good comments on the ice."

Lucier says it's hard to find a negative review from any of the curlers taking part.

"You check in at the beginning of the event. They check into their rooms, and then they never have to go outside. They can just walk from their rooms to the curling rink which is part of the hotel."

The first draw is this morning at 10 a.m. Get the full draw and team list here.
