Portage Collegiate's junior varsity clubs were on the court last night for West Winnipeg Athletic Conference Tier Two basketball.

The junior varsity Saints were part of another exciting game at PCI. They needed overtime to get the two points from Kelvin. The Clippers scored a three-point buzzer beater to tie the game at the end of the fourth quarter, but the Saints' persistence paid off to earn them the 44-42 victory.

The JV Trojans lost their third straight in Winnipeg. They fell 59-55 in the final seconds to St. James.

Both clubs are back in action Tuesday when they visit Stonewall.

Westpark's varsity teams had a tough time in Vita last night for Zone 4 high school basketball. The boys lost 61-37 to Shevchenko, the girls fell 65-37. They're back in action next Thursday when they both host Elm Creek.

The MacGregor Mustangs' varsity basketball teams swept the Carberry Cougars last night in Zone 7 action. The girls had no trouble dropping them 55-21. The boys' victory came just as easy, they won 81-20.

The varsity boys resume their regular season January 31st. The girls' resumes in February.
