Three Portage teams are in action tonight in the Manitoba Major Soccer League.

In Division 3 action, the Central Plains FC face the Winnipeg FC in Winnipeg. Central Plains has only recorded 1 win this season, and sit last in the division. That game goes at 10 o'clock in Winnipeg.

The Portage Fusion host YFC Saints at Rotary Republic Park in Division 4. The Fusion are at the bottom of the pack with 1 win and 8 losses, but with a couple wins strung together, they could easily jump 3 or 4 spots. That game is set for 7:30 at Rotary Republic Park.

Finally, the Portage Cobras are in Division 6 action, as they host BFR FC at Rotary Republic Park. The Cobras are at .500 right now, with a 4-4-1 record, while BFR is second last with only 2 wins. Cobra's Layne Coltart feels they turned a corner a couple of weeks ago.

"Recently we've just come together as a group. At the start of the year we were a little 'iffy' having the younger guys coming in with the older guys, but now we've finally started to mesh."

Coltart says they really want to even the series with BFR tonight.

"We faced this team in our first game, and lost quite close, but that's when we were still a fresh young team. As long as we play how we have been recently we'll do fine."

The Cobras could jump into 3rd place with a win tonight. They go at 7:30 as well, at Rotary Republic Park.
