There's a few Portage high school basketball teams in action tonight.

First, in West Winnipeg Athletic Conference Tier 2 action, it's the PCI Varsity Trojans and Westwood at PCI. The Trojans were scheduled to play the St. James Jimmies Monday night, but the game was postponed thanks to a fire alarm that couldn't be turned off. The Trojans and Westwood go at 5 p.m. at PCI.

The PCI Varsity Saints are also home tonight, as they host Kelvin in West Winnipeg Athletic Conference Tier 2 basketball. The Saints are coming off a strong 53-37 win over St. James Monday night, and look to make it 2-0 to start the season. Saints' Head Coach Jamal Cleaver's impressed with her team's drive this season, and wants to see a more explosive start.

"Basically we're looking for high intensity practices that are going to transfer over into games. I'm quite luck this year, fortunately enough, the girls have a competitive spirit and they'll dig deep to get those W's. Hopefully we can now start to focus on showing up in the first quarter and playing a solid 40 minutes of basketball."

That game's at PCI as well and goes at 6:30 after the Trojans' game.

In Zone 4 High School Basketball The Westpark Royals' junior varsity boy's and girl's basketball teams are on the road tonight. They're in Altona taking on the WC Miller Aces, the girls go first at 6 p.m. followed by the boys at 7:30.
