The defence struggled again for the Portage Terriers last night as they fell to the OCN Blizzard 6-0. Home ice was an advantage in game two of the best of seven MJHL final as the Blizzard were able to score at will.

Portage had solid chances in the first period but it would be Jeremy Dumont who opened the scoring for OCN. He came over the line on the rush and snapped it home low blocker. Tristan Elie would increase the Blizzard lead to two when he picked off a pass in the neutral zone and fired a back-hand shot past Brock Aiken. That would be the end of the night for the Terrier netminder as he was pulled from the net after letting in two goals on four shots. OCN would score one more before the end of the period when Daylon Campbell broke past Carter McMurdo and tucked a shot just under the bar.

Portage would get 12 more chances in the second period but OCN would score two more. Former Terrier Kyle Wiltshire scored "5-hole" on a breakaway, and Keevan Daniels-Webb found the back of the net on a two on one. With the game getting away from Portage the game got physical. Josh Martin dropped the gloves with Blizzard forward Jeremy Dumont.

There would be another fight in the thrid period; Jared Roy got into a brief skirmish with Lantz Hiebert. The Blizzard would get another goal as Elie scored his second of the night, and fifth of the weekend. Kurtis Chapman made 27 saves in relief of Aiken. Brett Epp picked up the shutout for OCN making 40 stops. Both teams were 0-4 on the power play.

The series now shifts back to Portage for games three and four on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 pm. The Blizzard lead the final 2-0.
